Granny records at Lotus Recordstore

Lotus Record Shop is located in Thessaloniki; having first opened in December 1990, it remains up to date a standard reference point to local music enthusiasts.

Specialising in certain styles, yet covering a broad range of genres, our mission is to support several aspects of the underground music industry.Through CD and vinyl imports from various places across the globe, Lotus aims to portray a clear picture of the most interesting records. Despite the fragmentation and saturation caused both by the immense production of music and the speed of information exchange, the Lotus team carefully selects and suggests the most eclectic sounds from each music genre.

We believe that music is a living organism under constant development, and thus endeavour towards tracing its coordinates and latest trends.

We have also allocated a part of our website on local (Greek) independent labels, as a means to supporting the local music scene. We trust that this virtual ‘topos’ will aid the distribution of the products of the labels supported.

Lotus primarily remains a physical record shop. Should you visit our hometown, do not hesitate dropping by our offices – we’d be glad to see you.
